GRIFFINS HOURS FOR MONTH OF MARCH

Tuesday March 19 + Thursday March 21: There will be no 8:30 am Boxfit classes

Easter Holiday: CLOSED: Friday March 29, Saturday March 30, Sunday March 31.
Re-open at regular hours on April 1st 2013.

Glove System Testing: White + Yellow Glove: March 28 (Youth 4:30 pm, Adult 7:30 pm).
No Green/Blue testing for this month.

Little Boxers will start again on Monday April 1st at 3:45 pm (Team Eagle).

SATURDAY NIGHT BOXING #34

February 23, 2013 was a one of our best Saturday Night Boxing show yet!! A fantastic night of 12 Amateur boxing matches, plus an entertaining Little Boxer “Half-time” show! A big thank-you to all of our volunteers who help setting up and taking down, and of course running the show. And a massive thank you to Paul our photographer for taking awesome photos of all the boxing matches! Be sure to come to our next show (Saturday Night Boxing #35) on April 27th, 2013!! LITTLE BOXERS ON TV!

This week Little Boxers was featured on Shaw TV’s go! Vancouver. The Little Boxer program offers our “little contenders” a great alternative to other Martial Arts classes. We combine elements of the sweet science of boxing, fitness and core training in a well-rounded entertaining class. There is an element of respect and self-discipline with “Yes Coach” elements, but our main goal is to increased confidence with hard work and positive results. Don’t worry, it’s non-contact and fun.

The Spartan race is an obstacle course designed to test your resilience, strength, stamina, quick decision making skills, and ability to laugh in the face of adversity. BRONZE GLOVES

Just last week, Coach Jared and Simon (Griffins Amateur Team member) travelled to Vernon for the Bronze Gloves competition. The event was well attended and Coaches and Boxers from 16 different clubs had a great time working together to make the event a great success. Simon had fought a great match, and the Team is now focusing on our next Saturday Night Boxing #35 on April 27th.
